Just to give some background information: Lake of the Ozarks is a large reservoir created by impounding the Osage River in the northern part of the Ozarks in central Missouri. The lake stretches 1,150 miles of shoreline with a main channel of the Osage Arm of 93 miles' end to end. Because of its size, it has a serpentine shape and earned the nickname of "The Magic Dragon".

Although Maddy DeRose is from Chicago IL, she has been visiting the Lake of the Ozarks for the past 17 years with her family. Every summer, she gets the chance to have a fun relaxing vacation with friends and family. Some of her favorite things to do at the lake consist of boating, tubing, water skiing, and being nestled back in a cove floating in the water. She also loves visiting over the 4th of July weekend where she spends the day on the water with a fabulous firework show at night by Tan-Tar-A Resorts.
